2014 ATF Inspection Results
The attached was published by ATF and is being presented by Orchid Advisors. The presentation includes the Fiscal Year (FY) 2014 ATF Inspection Results as identified by Industry Operations (IOIs). It was presented at the Shot Show.
- Approximately 10,500 licensees were inspected in 2014. This is up from the prior year.
- The number of active field Industry Operations Investigators (IOIs) is up from last year and is now the second highest in the last five years (646).
- 13.07% of licensees inspected (or 1,372) received a Report of Violations (down from prior year).
- 6.12% of licensees inspected (or 642) received a Warning Conference (down from prior year).
- 0.71% of licensees inspected (or 73) lost their licensee (up from prior year).
- 40,890 firearms were reported missing (significantly up from prior year of 14,455).
